Built around a dialogue-driven structure and a three-part framework of people, projects and pathways, the design balances bold typographic expression with clear legibility, layered imagery, and a restrained use of UniSA blue. The result is a tactile, journal-like object that feels collected, human and intentionally unpolished—more reflective of lived experience than institutional record.

Unique aspects of the project included:

  • A multi-directional, dialogue-based editorial framework with structured interview typography
  • A restrained but distinctive use of UniSA blue to avoid an overly institutional tone
  • Bold typographic design balanced with clear legibility across long-form content
  • Layered, collage-style image treatments combining archives and contemporary content
  • Experimental layouts that reflected conversation, rhythm and “impact” as a visual idea
  • A deliberate balance between polished design and an intentionally imperfect, collected feel
