What followed was a deeply collaborative process spanning photography, editorial, design, illustration and production.
Working closely with Executive Chef Jamie Musgrave and the Restaurant Botanic team, the book traces a year shaped by seasons through the lens of Jonathan van der Knaap, whose photography brings a quiet intensity and clarity to the design narrative.
Each season and section has a colour, creating a strata effect on the page edges.
From early concept through to the print production, this project drew on our shared histories in publishing. There’s something uniquely rewarding about bringing a book like this into the world. An artefact designed to be kept out in the open.
